Rewarding 2 students who won high prizes in the 2025 International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad

DNO - On the afternoon of September 5, the City People's Committee commended and rewarded students and teachers for their achievements at the 2025 International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad.

Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet; Vice Chairman of the City People's Council Doan Ngoc Hung Anh; Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan and Director of the Department of Education and Training Le Thi Bich Thuan attended.

Reporting at the award ceremony, Director of the City Department of Education and Training Le Thi Bich Thuan said that in the 2024-2025 school year, the entire sector has effectively implemented emulation movements; promoted the application of information technology in management and teaching activities; strengthened solutions to reduce the rate of poor students and dropouts, increase the rate of good and excellent students; focused on the selection, training and coaching of excellent and gifted students.

Thanks to that, the quality of education in all fields and levels has been maintained; excellent students at the city and national levels continue to achieve good results. In addition to the achievements in national competitions such as the excellent student selection exam; the science and technology research competition; the youth IT competition; the UPU International Letter Writing Competition, the city's students have been selected by the Ministry of Education and Training to participate in and achieve high results in international competitions.

Notably, Huynh Huy Hung and Nguyen Nhat Tuan Kiet, class 12A4, won second prize at the International Science and Technology Competition in the United States.

Tran Quang Nhat, class 12A2, and twin brothers Nguyen Tri Hien and Nguyen Tri Hau, class 11, Nguyen Binh Khiem High School for the Gifted (formerly Quang Nam province) won Gold Medals at the second International Mathematical Olympiad held in Turkmenistan.

Cap Kim Hoang Bao, class 11A3, student of Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, won a Bronze Medal at the European Physics Olympiad, held in Bulgaria.

Nguyen Phu Nhan won the Gold Medal and Hoang Cong Bao Long won the Bronze Medal at the 2025 International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad, held in Beijing, China from August 2 to 9, 2025. Both are students of class 11A5, Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Chairman of the City People's Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet praised the students who won prizes at the 2025 International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad. Their achievements have contributed to affirming the bravery, capacity and intelligence of the young generation of Vietnam in the field of cutting-edge technology today.

The Chairman of the City People's Committee emphasized that these outstanding achievements were first of all due to the efforts of the students themselves, the contributions of the school, and the teachers who were dedicated and creative throughout the process of teaching, training, guiding the students in the team and taking the team to compete abroad.

Along with that is the timely attention and encouragement from parents, organizations and units for the students throughout the learning process. The city leaders acknowledge and appreciate the innovations of the city's education sector in the work of directing selection, training and coaching, contributing to improving the achievements of the city's teams in national and international competitions.

The Chairman of the City People's Committee congratulated the outstanding achievements of students and teachers as well as the responsible and effective contributions of families and organizations that have contributed to the proud achievements, contributing to raising the position of Da Nang city in particular and Vietnam in general on the world knowledge map, while at the same time arousing the passion for learning, research and creativity in the young generation.

Previously, the city also organized awards for Huynh Huy Hung, Nguyen Nhat Tuan Kiet, Tran Quang Nhat, Nguyen Tri Hien, Nguyen Tri Hau, Cap Kim Hoang Bao and teachers participating in the training.
