Inauguration of rural road funded by Indian Embassy

Attending were Mr. Sandeep Arya, Ambassador of India to Vietnam; Comrade Phan The Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the route.

The project "Improving and expanding rural traffic routes in Dong hamlet, Cam Bao village, Xuan Cam commune" uses fast-effective capital from India.

The route started construction on May 13, 2025 and was completed after 20 days. The total length of the route is more than 500 meters, the road surface is widened to rural road standards. The total aid cost is 50,000 USD (equivalent to 1.25 billion VND) sponsored by the Embassy of India.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Sandeep Arya affirmed that this is one of the projects under the Community Development Support Program implemented by the Indian Government in many localities of Vietnam, contributing to improving the quality of life of the people.

The Ambassador believes that the route will actively support the process of building advanced new rural areas in the locality, and is a vivid demonstration of the close friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and India.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Phan The Tuan expressed his respect and deep gratitude to the Ambassador and the Indian Embassy in Vietnam for their valuable attention and support for Bac Giang province.

He emphasized that the relationship between Bac Giang province and the Indian Embassy has had many positive developments. A number of officials and civil servants of Bac Giang province have been able to attend courses in India under the Embassy's scholarships; organize the annual International Yoga Day; Indian Film Week in Bac Giang; welcome the Indian Ambassador to visit and plant souvenir trees at Tay Yen Tu spiritual and ecological tourism area, Son Dong district. In May 2025, the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha organized a procession and enshrined the Buddha's relics - the National Treasure of India at Phuc Son Pagoda, Cao Xa Commune, Tan Yen District; sponsored the construction of classrooms, kitchens, fences and playgrounds at Mai Trung Kindergarten, Hiep Hoa District... These are symbols of the good relationship between the two countries in general, Bac Giang province and the Indian Embassy in particular.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that the Ambassador will continue to pay attention to and expand cooperation with Bac Ninh province (new), especially in the fields of investment attraction, trade, education, health care and cultural exchange. The province is committed to creating all favorable conditions to foster and develop this friendly cooperative relationship.

At the ceremony, the leaders of Hiep Hoa District People's Committee expressed their sincere thanks to the Government and People of India, and committed to regular maintenance and repair for effective and long-term exploitation of the project. Immediately after the ribbon-cutting ceremony, delegates and local people visited the new road.
