Bac Giang Ward was established on the basis of merging 7 wards of the old Bac Giang city including: Tho Xuong, Ngo Quyen, Xuong Giang, Hoang Van Thu, Tran Phu, Dinh Ke and Dinh Tri. After the merger, the ward has a total area of over 23 km² (reaching 422% of the regulation), a population of about 123,000 people (equivalent to 585% of the regulation), with 97 residential groups, is a central area with a large population and high population density.
In order to ensure that the administrative apparatus of Bac Giang ward officially operates smoothly from July 1, 2025, preparation work has been carried out synchronously and methodically from early on. Some key contents include: Officials and civil servants proactively study and grasp the guiding documents of the Central, National Assembly, Government, ministries, branches and provinces related to the arrangement of administrative units, organization of local government and decentralization of tasks to the commune level; agencies such as Party Committees, People's Councils, People's Committees, Fatherland Front Committees and socio -political organizations of the ward have completed the registration of new seals; the list of proposals to create management accounts and operate operations for relevant agencies, units and individuals has been fully established; facilities, offices and service means have been prepared; Staff are appropriately arranged to welcome and guide organizations and citizens to the Public Administration Service Center to carry out administrative procedures, ensuring convenience, transparency and efficiency.
