In particular, on provincial and national highways passing through Bo Trach, Quang Ninh and Le Thuy districts, such as Ho Chi Minh Road West Branch, National Highways 9B, 9C, 15, Provincial Roads 565 and 564, over 12 locations were deeply flooded and more than 20 landslides on positive and negative slopes were recorded with an estimated volume of soil and rock of more than 1,500m³, causing serious traffic disruption.
Immediately after the incident occurred on the roads, a working group led by the Director of the Department of Construction was present at the scene to direct the repair work. Construction units mobilized machinery and equipment, organized continuous construction in 3 shifts, 24/24 hours to make efforts to clear the route.
However, the construction process encountered many difficulties due to complicated weather conditions, prolonged heavy rain, narrow site, and high positive slopes on both sides. Worryingly, trees, mud and rocks from the slope continued to flow down, posing a potential risk of landslides at any time, threatening the safety of people, property and construction vehicles.
Thanks to the efforts and determination of the forces, by 5:00 p.m. on June 13, 2025, on provincial and national highways in the whole province, there were only 4 deeply flooded locations causing traffic jams; landslides on the positive slopes were basically resolved, ensuring smooth and safe traffic. Currently, the forces continue to closely monitor the weather situation, promptly handle arising situations, ensure traffic safety and people's lives.
