Ligue 1 2025-2026 brings together 18 clubs, including the reigning Champions League champions PSG. This is the second season Ligue 1 will compete with a reduced number of teams, thereby optimizing the schedule and professional quality.
The return of Lorient and Metz, along with newcomer Paris FC after 46 years, not only thickens the French football map but also gives birth to the rare Paris derby with PSG - a new match full of promise in terms of speed and heat in the stands.
Besides PSG as the number one candidate, fans will wait for Marseille's progress under Roberto De Zerbi, Monaco's tenacity, Lille's pragmatism, or the youthful energy from Nice, Lens... all creating a multi-layered, dramatic race.
The schedule runs from August 15, 2025 to May 16, 2026, in a double round-robin format with 34 rounds. The matches are arranged reasonably from Friday night to Sunday, making it easy for audiences in Vietnam to watch the entire round: the opening match of the weekend, a series of appointments on Saturday night, and Sunday night closing with the highlight match.
Not only live broadcasting, the content ecosystem on VTVcab's platforms will be more vivid with official documents from the tournament organizers: programs "Ligue 1 Preview", "Ligue 1 Highlights", "Ligue 1 Show", along with mid-season and end-of-season summary publications.
