Opening of the exhibition "Binh Thuan cultural heritage connecting regions"

On the morning of August 31, at the Po Sah Inư tower relic, Phu Hai ward, Phan Thiet city, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the opening ceremony of the exhibition with the theme " Binh Thuan cultural heritage connecting regions".

Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the provinces attended the opening ceremony.

Attending were representatives of the Departments of Culture and Sports of Binh Thuan, An Giang, Dong Nai, Bac Ninh, and Da Nang.

At the exhibition, there are more than 500 artifacts and images introducing cultural heritages, typical and typical products of 5 provinces and cities, and booths displaying artifacts of Oc Eo, Sa Huynh, Cham culture, daily living utensils, jewelry... often used by ethnic minorities in Binh Thuan, owned by collector Nguyen Ngoc An (Binh Thuan).

Mr. Vo Thanh Huy delivered the opening speech and received the congratulatory painting of the exhibition from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Ninh.

In his opening speech, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Vo Thanh Huy affirmed: “Cultural heritage is increasingly affirming its position, role and strength in attracting domestic and international tourists, contributing to promoting the development of local economy, culture and society. The exhibition “Binh Thuan Cultural Heritage Connects Regions” taking place from August 31 to September 6, 2023 is an inter-regional event within the series of activities of the National Tourism Year 2023 “Binh Thuan - Green Convergence”.

Through artifacts, documents, images, typical and typical local products brought by provincial museums, we have the opportunity to learn and explore unique and distinct cultural features of extremely diverse and rich regions. Reflecting the nature, society, land, people, customs, beliefs, and religions of the ethnic communities. At the same time, it is an activity to create regular and long-term connections, exchanges, and cooperation between Binh Thuan Provincial Museum and the Museums of provinces and cities.
