Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Quang Buu said that the Traditional Craft Festival - Quang Nam 2024 is a festival of great cultural, economic and social significance for the province.
This is a place to honor the beauty and demonstrate traditional crafts, a place where talented artists gather, research contemporary creative methods... organized in a unique landscape, cultural and artistic space expressing the culture of Quang Nam province through the reproduction of crafts and craft villages along the Thu Bon River.
“This festival is also a gathering for generations of artisans, artists, researchers, organizations and individuals at home and abroad to participate in preserving and promoting the value of traditional crafts; along with a series of events, unique cultural and artistic programs, a vibrant and colorful festival atmosphere... will contribute to promoting trade, service - tourism activities, economic, cultural - social development in the area; continue to affirm the brand of Quang Nam as an interesting destination" - Mr. Ho Quang Buu said.
Traditional Craft Festival - Quang Nam 2024 is one of the key activities of the Rural Industry Development Strategy to promote the potential of rural areas, improve production and business efficiency, increase income, create jobs and improve people's material and spiritual life; contribute to environmental protection, embellishment, preservation of landscapes, promotion of traditions and national cultural identity.
Thereby introducing and promoting the culture, history, achievements, potentials and strengths of the land and people of Quang Nam in the economic, cultural and social fields to domestic and foreign tourists and investors. Creating opportunities to promote and boost traditional craft products, OCOP products, and typical rural industrial products to become commodities, expanding the consumer market.
Within the framework of the Traditional Craft Festival - Quang Nam 2024, there will be notable events such as: Seminar on "Solutions to preserve and develop traditional crafts in the integration period" (August 29); performance and reenactment of crafts (August 30); ceremony to commemorate the Hundred Craft Ancestors, honor artisans and skilled workers (August 30); conference to connect trade between suppliers of OCOP products, craft products, craft villages with export enterprises and trade promotion organizations (August 31)...
The Traditional Craft Festival - Quang Nam 2024 will last until the end of August 31. Throughout the festival, there will be activities such as: Art road "Traditional Craft Space of Quang Nam"; exhibition of craft products, OCOP products, typical rural industrial products, regional agricultural products, cuisine...
