Opening of the Red Journey Program in Lam Dong

* MOBILE 26,000 UNITS OF BLOOD FROM RED JOURNEY

Lam Dong Provincial Red Cross Society received a souvenir flag from the Central Red Journey Program Organizing Committee authorized by the locality to present.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Minh - Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial Red Cross Society delivered the opening speech, saying: Lam Dong is one of 5 provinces nationwide that has been continuously associated with the "Red Journey" Program for 13 years. Responding to the series of activities and events of the 13th "Red Journey" Program in 2025, Lam Dong province has been organizing many exciting activities, creating a widespread propaganda campaign about the voluntary blood donation movement.

Delegates attended the opening ceremony of Lam Dong Red Journey 2025 and honored outstanding blood donors in the province.

In particular, the Red Journey Program to mobilize voluntary blood donation will take place on the morning of July 18 at the 13th Blood Donation Festival of the City of Flowers at Da Lat University. The goal is to receive about 1,000 units of blood, the received blood will be distributed to Cho Ray Hospital - Ho Chi Minh City. Continuing to respond to the Red Journey Program of the whole province, mini Red Journey Blood Donation Festivals will be organized in localities in the province to receive 2,000 units of blood, in order to meet the needs of emergency treatment of patients in the province.

Over the past 12 years, Lam Dong province has received over 9,000 units of blood from the Blood Donation Festivals of the Flower City and 17,000 units of blood from the Mini Red Journey Blood Donation Festivals in the localities. The blood received is used for the treatment and emergency care of local patients and to support central hospitals. This is the clearest evidence of the humanity and strong influence of a humanitarian journey for the community.

* HONORING OUTSTANDING BLOOD DONORS

In 2025, the 13th Red Journey Program was organized, receiving the support of 48 provinces and cities nationwide. For Lam Dong province in particular, this is the 13th time Lam Dong province has participated in organizing the Red Journey. In recent years, the voluntary blood donation movement in the province has grown and achieved great results. Many individuals have donated blood 20, 30 times and especially more than 60 times, many groups and families have donated blood together.

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society awarded Certificates of Merit to outstanding examples of contributions to the voluntary blood donation movement in Lam Dong.

Combining the Red Journey Opening Program and the Blood Donation Festival of the City of Flowers, 92 collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the province's voluntary blood donation movement were honored and rewarded.

These are beautiful flowers, contributing to embellishing the flower garden of good people and good deeds of the province's patriotic emulation movement. This is an opportunity to recognize, commend and honor those who have donated blood many times, thereby encouraging other healthy people to participate in donating blood to save lives. This good deed will continue to be replicated and spread more widely at all levels, in all sectors and in the community.

On this occasion, Mr. Nguyen Quang Minh - Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial Red Cross Association was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister. The Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Association awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 individuals and 1 family with outstanding contributions to the voluntary blood donation movement. Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to groups with outstanding achievements in the voluntary blood donation movement and the Provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation awarded Certificates of Merit to outstanding examples in this movement.

In addition, the Lam Dong Provincial Blood Donation Steering Committee honored outstanding blood donors and expressed gratitude to sponsors, honorary presidents of the Red Cross Associations of districts and cities, and officials of the Red Cross Associations of districts and cities in Lam Dong province.
