On many central streets, people and tourists gathered in large numbers to watch the rehearsal of the parade and march in preparation for the 80th National Day Celebration on September 2. The sound of loudspeakers practicing, convoys of cars speeding on the streets, helicopters and airplanes appearing in the sky of Hanoi made the atmosphere even more exciting.

Besides the people of the capital, many international tourists also joined in this special atmosphere. Some international tourists had learned about Vietnam's National Day in advance and were looking forward to witnessing the parade.

Alina and Timofey (Russia) shared when they were on Ton Duc Thang Street: “We have been here for 10 days, after visiting Ninh Binh , we went to Hanoi. Before coming, I knew about Vietnam's National Day and the big parade. In my homeland (Russia), we used to learn about Vietnam's history because the two countries have a close relationship.”

“This morning, I saw helicopters in the sky, the atmosphere was very bustling. People poured into the streets, I really liked the way they showed respect for the national flag. Many people wore shirts, hats, and held banners with the national flag. Tonight, I will definitely watch the parade because on September 2nd I will no longer be in Hanoi,” Alina expressed.

Similarly, Eliana Cristina (Russia) eagerly stayed on Nguyen Thai Hoc street until the end of the parade.

“I have been in Vietnam for 2 weeks and know that this is a historic moment as people prepare to celebrate National Day on September 2. I can feel the pride spreading everywhere. The streets are crowded, people are full of energy. I hope the parade and march tonight will be spectacular,” she said.

Unlike the Russian guests, Mr. Elliot, a French tourist, happened to come to Vietnam at this time.

“I didn’t know what was going on, I just saw a crowd of people pouring into the street, everyone was smiling. The roads were blocked so I stood here for about an hour. I planned to go to the market to buy a drink because I was quite thirsty. The atmosphere was bustling but also crowded, I thought I wouldn’t stay until the evening to watch,” the male tourist shared while walking on Tran Phu Street.

With its grand scale, the parade celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2 promises to leave a strong impression on the people and international friends.
