Krong Pac District: Deploying over 39 billion VND to implement Program 1719

In 2023, Krong Pac district will implement 9/10 projects of the National Target Program for Socio -Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas (referred to as Program 1719) with a total cost of over 39 billion VND.

Accordingly, the total capital for implementing project 1 on solving the shortage of residential land, housing, production land, and domestic water is 9.02 billion VND. The district is supporting 55 households to build houses, 50 households to buy residential land, and 44 households to buy production land. In addition, the district People's Committee is also inviting bids to implement a decentralized domestic water support project for 1,137 poor households in 11 communes of the project area.

Officials from the Social Policy Bank of Krong Pac district visited a family building a house with preferential loans under Program 1719 in Ea Phe commune.

In project 3, the district is deploying 500 million VND to develop sustainable agricultural and forestry economy associated with forest protection and increasing people's income; is preparing procedures to appraise the plan to provide breeding cows to poor households to support production development according to the value chain with a total cost of 12.2 billion VND.

For essential infrastructure investment projects serving production and life in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, the district has built roads in the communes of Ea Phe, Tan Tien, and Krong Buk with a budget of 12.5 billion VND; and is implementing road maintenance in the communes of Ea Uy, Ea Hiu, Ea Yong, and Krong Buk with a total budget of more than 3.5 billion VND.

The district has also deployed more than 1.8 billion VND to implement project 5 on education and training development, improving the quality of human resources; 170 million VND to implement project 6 on preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities associated with tourism development; 329 million VND to implement project 7 on people's health care, improving the physical condition and stature of ethnic minorities, preventing and combating child malnutrition... As for project 2 on planning, arranging, relocating, and stabilizing residents in necessary places, the district has not yet deployed.

According to the plan, the total budget for implementing the 1719 Program projects in 2023 and from 2022 transferred to Krong Pac district is over 65 billion VND. However, due to slow capital allocation, some project instructions are not consistent with the implementation contents, causing many difficulties, slowing down the progress and greatly affecting the implementation results.
