Nghe An Cooperative signed a contract to consume products at the supply

On the morning of May 17, in Vinh city, Nghe An province's Cooperative Alliance organized the Forum "Improving the effectiveness of trade promotion, connecting supply and demand, supporting the consumption of products in the collective economic sector and cooperatives in 2024". Ms. Cao Xuan Thu Van - President of Vietnam Cooperative Alliance and Mr. Nguyen Van De - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended and delivered a speech.

The forum was attended by 86 cooperatives and cooperative groups representing more than 6,000 cooperatives from 12 provinces and cities: Hanoi, Hai Phong, Yen Bai, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang , Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Dong Nai and Nghe An.

Nghe An has 567 products achieving OCOP star

In recent years, the collective economic sector, with cooperatives as its core, has received attention from the Party and State, creating favorable conditions in terms of policies and guidelines for the development of the collective economic sector and cooperatives.

As of April 30, 2024, the province has 899 cooperatives. The province's "One Commune One Product" (OCOP) program has developed strongly. To date, the province has had 567 OCOP star products, of which: 37 products have 4 stars; 529 products have 3 stars and 1 product has 5 stars.

In recent times, through many forms, the Provincial Cooperative Union has actively and proactively coordinated with sectors and provincial cooperative unions to carry out trade promotion activities; constantly improving the quality of consulting and supporting cooperative groups, cooperatives, and craft villages to develop production and seek markets; Organizing many trade promotion events to introduce and promote products in the provinces.

From 2020 to present, Nghe An Province Cooperative Union has organized and participated in over 40 trade promotion activities, fairs, exhibitions, forums... supporting over 200 cooperatives to introduce, promote products, connect and sign consumption contracts in many provinces and cities across the country. Through that, many cooperative products have had stable consumption markets in the provinces.

At the forum, there were 7 presentations from Nghe An Industry and Trade Department, provincial cooperative alliances and some cooperatives in the province, aiming to share experiences in product promotion, trade promotion, and connection - supply - demand between cooperatives and businesses.

Further promote trade promotion activities

Speaking at the forum, comrade Nguyen Van De - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Collective Economic Development emphasized:

Departments and branches need to continue to further promote trade promotion activities, connect production and consumption of products of cooperatives and craft villages; promote linkages between cooperatives and between cooperatives and enterprises.

For cooperatives, enterprises, production and business establishments, it is necessary to clearly recognize the importance of trade promotion activities; be confident, proactive, and actively participate in trade activities, connecting supply and demand; fairs and exhibitions to promote and seek partners to expand the market...

It is necessary to continue to innovate production and business methods, actively apply scientific and technical advances in production, processing, and building quality and branded products. Cooperatives with products that have been awarded stars continue to improve the quality of their products to achieve higher OCOP product rankings.

For the Provincial Cooperative Union, it is necessary to strengthen coordination with the provincial cooperative alliance system to learn and exchange experiences, help cooperatives and member enterprises improve and enhance production and business efficiency, provide the market with many quality and valuable products, aiming for export; bring the cooperative economic sector and cooperatives of the province to increasingly make positive contributions to the socio-economic development of the locality.
