Meeting of the Interdisciplinary Appraisal Council to appraise 2 pilot models in new rural construction

The two models assessed include: Rural tourism development model associated with fruit garden tourism in Lam Son commune, Ninh Son district and Waste treatment and recycling model in pig farming in Ninh Son district.

Regarding the rural tourism development model associated with fruit garden tourism in Lam Son commune, the Appraisal Council noted a number of issues that need attention, such as systematic tourism development planning, ensuring sustainability; developing diverse tourism products to meet the needs of tourists; improving quality associated with training tourism human resources.

The pilot model of "Waste treatment and circulation in pig farming" will be implemented at 5 pig farms in Ninh Son district, each farm has a scale of 500 to over 1,000 pigs. The goal of the model is to promote the application of advanced technology and techniques in waste treatment, barn sanitation and emissions using microorganisms to ensure environmental sanitation and pig farms. The total cost of implementing the pilot model is over 4 billion VND, the implementation period is from 2024 - 2025.

Comrade Trinh Minh Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting of the Interdisciplinary Appraisal Council.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Trinh Minh Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, requested the Ninh Son District People's Committee and the consulting agency to review and redefine the items that need to be focused on investment to effectively implement the Project. In the immediate future, the existing fruit garden area in Lam Son commune will be kept intact, to focus on investment resources, exploit in depth, and improve service quality to attract tourists. At the same time, focus on propaganda work, raise awareness; train skills and knowledge in tourism for Project beneficiaries. Regarding the pilot model of "Waste treatment and circulation in pig farming", the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee basically agreed with the contents of the Project implementation stated in the Draft. At the same time, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development will be assigned to redefine the total herd scale for the Project implementation; the Department of Finance will be assigned to determine the support level in accordance with regulations, the right subjects, the right content and support rate. The work contents need to be completed and submitted to the Provincial People's Committee before July 15 to ensure effective implementation of the Project.
