More than 50 players enthusiastically participated in the press billiards tournament in Ben Tre

This is an annual traditional playground for journalists, reporters and press collaborators working in the three provinces of Long An, Tien Giang and Ben Tre . This year, the tournament is organized by journalist Bac Binh ( Thanh Nien Newspaper, resident in the area). The total budget for the tournament is over 100 million VND, from social mobilization sources.

The tournament is meant to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025); at the same time, honor the spirit of solidarity, sharing and dedication of local journalists.

The tournament took place on the morning of June 15 at Thanh Hien Billiards Club (Phu Khuong Ward, Ben Tre City), with the participation of nearly 50 players, most of whom were reporters, permanent collaborators, local newspapers and some guests from outside the industry. Each player participating was supported by the Organizing Committee with 1 million VND.

The competition format is doubles, knockout after one loss, according to free billiards (libre), each game is limited to 30 points, cue is limited to 10 points (to limit the difference in skill level of the players), maximum time is 40 minutes/game.

In particular, this year's tournament also had the participation of a typical retired journalist in Ben Tre, adding more depth to the tradition and emotion of the event.

The prize structure includes: 1 first prize of 3 million VND; 1 second prize of 2 million VND and 1 third prize of 1 million VND.
