More than 3,500 violations related to passenger vehicles will be handled from the beginning of 2025

Since the beginning of 2025, Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police have handled 3,548 traffic violations related to passenger transport in the area, with an estimated fine of more than 2.7 billion VND.


Recently, many people have reported the situation of illegal buses, illegal bus stations, and passenger buses running on the wrong route to pick up and drop off passengers on many routes in districts across the city, including some bus companies such as Long Van, An Anh, Hung Cuong... picking up and dropping off passengers bustlingly right in front of the bus company's office, especially after 10pm.

Regarding this issue, at the Ho Chi Minh City socio -economic press conference on the afternoon of March 20, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thang Long - Deputy Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department's Staff Department said that after receiving the feedback, Ho Chi Minh City Police Department directed the Traffic Police Department to coordinate with the police of related localities to inspect the reported areas; at the same time, invite the vehicle owners and drivers reported to work and clarify the violations.

Accordingly, 11 cases of violation were recorded and commitments were signed. In addition, from the beginning of 2025 to now, the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police force has handled 3,548 cases of traffic violations in the area, with an estimated fine of more than 2.7 billion VND.

Of these, there were 2,219 cases of stopping and parking in violation of regulations; 134 cases of picking up and dropping off passengers in violation of regulations; 39 cases of violations related to transportation contracts and passenger lists; 15 cases of not following the scheduled route, not having or not carrying a transportation order; and 1,141 cases of other violations.

Since the beginning of 2025, Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police have handled 3,548 traffic violations involving passenger vehicles.

Ho Chi Minh City Police are regularly coordinating with relevant agencies, departments and branches to promote propaganda, inspection and handling of violations of urban order, including violations in stopping, parking, picking up and dropping off passengers... not in accordance with regulations of passenger transport vehicles.

Lieutenant Colonel Long said that the City Police have also arranged officers to receive feedback related to the traffic safety situation from people on applications such as: CSGT, VNeID, VNeTraffic, 1022, Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen, TTGT, Help 114... to promptly resolve and handle in accordance with regulations, authority and consider handling the responsibility (if any) of leaders, commanders, officers and soldiers related to the situation of "illegal buses and bus stations".
