More than 25,000 women join 'Maggi to build a career'

Not only accompanying and supporting women in the program, but also throughout their entrepreneurial journey, MAGGI is always ready to help when women need it.

Promoting women's development Along with continuous research and development to bring consumers quality kitchen spices, reducing the burden of standing in the kitchen, Maggi brand, Nestlé Vietnam Company Limited always implements programs to promote the development of Vietnamese women. Cooking with Maggi is one of such programs, initiated by the brand within the framework of the Nestlé program accompanying women - in collaboration with the Vietnam Women's Union. Deployed from 2022, the program started in the two provinces of Nghe An and Ben Tre , attracting more than 1,400 women. The success of the first year created a good premise for the 2023 program to reach nearly 7,000 more women in 4 provinces and cities. In 2024, continuing to expand its scale and brand, Nestlé Vietnam Company Limited (Nestlé Vietnam) established a strategic cooperation milestone with the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU), making a strong impression with the results achieved when attracting more than 17,000 women in 9 provinces and cities. In the third year of implementation, in addition to strategic cooperation with the VWU, the program also has many changes. One of them is to increase the total number of women accompanying the program to more than 25,000 women in 15 provinces and cities across the country, from North to South. Practical and familiar training topics The program, developed by the VWU and the Maggi brand, Nestlé Vietnam, has practical and familiar training topics to convey to women who want to start a business not only food safety knowledge, cooking skills, and standard seasoning but also business knowledge and experience. With outstanding projects, the program also grants new and upgraded carts and restaurants, and provides business capital. As of 2024, the program has granted new and upgraded 110 restaurants and carts with a total funding of up to 1.1 billion VND.
Many women have boldly stepped out of their comfort zones, truly turning their familiar kitchen job into leading a business, creating a stable source of income for their families, improving their lives. Above all, they are more confident, more proud of themselves, for the values they have and create. The journey of independence is gradually becoming clearer, and each of these women has become more independent and happier.

At the press conference announcing the brand's strategic cooperation with HLHPNVN, Ms. Truong Thi Thu Thuy - member of the Presidium, head of the Family and Social Affairs Committee, Vietnam Women's Union - shared: "Based on the common commitment to promoting gender equality and empowering women, we are ready to accompany Nestlé Vietnam in the program Cooking up a career with Maggi. From the results of the first and second years, there has been a very clear development. Many provinces and cities have proactively registered to participate in the program. We identify this as a family service model, thereby contributing to reducing unpaid work for women, contributing to promoting gender equality, creating conditions for women to have time to take care of themselves, take care of their families, and reduce unpaid labor time".
