BPO - This morning (June 22), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the conference: The Central Steering Committee for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide held its 5th online meeting nationwide to evaluate the results of the past period and deploy tasks in the coming period; the State Steering Committee for important national works and projects, key to the transport sector, to accelerate construction progress, remove obstacles and ensure the quality and progress of key transport infrastructure projects nationwide; evaluate the disbursement of public investment capital in the first 6 months, deploy solutions to promote public investment in 2025.
Attending the conference at Binh Phuoc bridge point were Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ton Ngoc Hanh; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tue Hien, along with leaders of provincial departments, branches, and sectors and leaders of districts, towns, and cities in the province.
38 localities complete program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses
At the meeting, delegates focused on assessing the implementation of the program in the past time, especially the outstanding results in supporting the construction and repair of houses for policy beneficiaries. To date, the whole country has supported the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households from the program launched with 125,888 houses, with 38 provinces and cities having completed the program. It is expected that the remaining localities will basically complete the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses before August 31, 2025...

Binh Phuoc province has completed 100% of the set targets, supporting the construction and repair of 1,316 poor and near-poor households, people with revolutionary contributions and relatives of martyrs. The province has also announced the completion of the movement "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" in the province and organized a conference to summarize and reward collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing this movement.
Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized: Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses is a profound political and humane task, demonstrating the spirit of "leaving no one behind". At the same time, he commended the provinces and centrally-run cities that have completed the program, along with the units and enterprises that have supported and helped the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide. He requested the remaining localities to continue mobilizing the entire political system to participate, make the most of social resources, promote the role of the people and the business community to soon complete the set goals.
Concentrate maximum resources, resolutely complete 3,000km of expressway on schedule
At the 17th meeting, the Prime Minister assigned 34 tasks to ministries, branches and localities, focusing on removing difficulties and obstacles, speeding up investment preparation procedures for projects. Up to now, the units have completed 11 tasks on time, however, there is still a small area of land and the relocation of technical infrastructure that has not been completed as directed, affecting the progress; some projects planned to be completed in 2025 due to the localities as the managing agencies have remaining volume, affecting the plan to complete 3,000 km of expressways and other key national projects...
For Binh Phuoc province, the project to build the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway through the province, was assigned a public investment plan for 2025 of 1,314 billion VND. To date, more than 184.2 billion VND has been disbursed, reaching more than 14% of the plan. The project to build the North - South expressway in the West, Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc), the province has started implementing component projects 3 and 5 in accordance with legal regulations. For component project 1 implemented under the public-private partnership method, the province has currently selected an investor and is negotiating and signing a contract for implementation.
At the meeting, the Ministry of Construction issued strong instructions, requiring localities and units to focus maximum resources and coordinate closely to complete the progress milestones set out under the direction of the Prime Minister. The Ministry of Construction also noted the work of ensuring quality, labor safety and preventing corruption and negativity during the project implementation process.
Enhancing responsibility with the motto "6 clear" to promote public investment in 2025
As of June 20, central ministries and branches have allocated and assigned public investment capital plans of more than VND818 trillion. Estimated payment volume for 6 months reached more than VND264 trillion, equal to more than 32% of the assigned capital plan, disbursement of central budget capital was about VND88.5 trillion, lower than the same period in 2024.
For Binh Phuoc province, the total public investment plan for 2025 has been assigned more than 17,531 billion VND, with disbursement by June 20, 2025 reaching nearly 1,538 billion VND, reaching more than 10% of the target assigned by the Government. Regarding solutions to accelerate the disbursement progress of public investment capital in 2025, the province has proposed 8 groups of tasks and key solutions. In particular, focusing on promoting site clearance, prioritizing the allocation of sufficient funds to carry out compensation and site clearance for areas with sufficient conditions, especially focusing on implementing the North-South Expressway project in the West, Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc) section to ensure progress according to the plan approved by the Government.
At the meeting, representatives of ministries, branches and localities reported on progress and pointed out difficulties and obstacles in capital disbursement, and proposed many solutions to promote public investment in the coming time.
Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized the particularly important role of public investment in promoting economic growth, creating jobs, improving infrastructure and improving people's lives. He requested ministries, branches and localities to identify the disbursement of public investment capital reaching 100% of the plan as a key political task from now until the end of the year. He requested that ministries, branches and localities thoroughly grasp the direction of superiors, promote personal responsibility with the motto "Clear people, clear work, clear time, clear responsibility, clear products, clear authority" for each project to speed up the implementation progress and disbursement of assigned public investment capital...
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also urged ministries, branches and localities not to let the implementation of two-level local government affect the progress and quality of key national transport projects and works and promote public investment in 2025, contributing to promoting the country's socio-economic development.
