The delegation visited Vietnamese Heroic Mother Tran Thi Hai, born in 1924, residing in An Phu hamlet; Mrs. Huynh Thi Hoa, Binh Khuong 1 hamlet, daughter of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Do Thi Dong; Mrs. Huynh Thi Luong, born in 1942, residing in Binh Ninh 1 hamlet, wife of martyr Tran Minh Man.
At the families visited, the Women's Union of An Thanh Thuy commune kindly asked about their health, expressed deep gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices of war invalids, martyrs' families, and those who contributed to the national liberation struggles, and sent best wishes to the families of policy beneficiaries to always live happily and healthily and be a spiritual support for their children and grandchildren, continue to promote the revolutionary tradition, actively participate in economic development, gradually improve and enhance their lives, and contribute to building an increasingly rich and civilized homeland.
The delegation presented each family with a gift of 500,000 VND in cash, drawn from the association's fund and contributions from members.
After the merger, An Thanh Thuy commune has 23 branches with 7,644 members. The commune Women's Union focuses on improving the capacity of the Union's officials, diversifying the forms of activities suitable to the local situation, focusing on innovating the methods of operation, improving the capacity of women, and attracting members to participate.
