“On August 25, all students in the province will return to school. For schools not affected by natural disasters, teaching and learning will continue as planned.
For schools that were severely damaged by floods, the Department has directed localities to develop their own plans to ensure that students return to school on schedule and their studies are not interrupted," said Mr. Hoan.
Meanwhile, speaking to Dan Tri reporter, Mr. Tran Sy Ha, Principal of My Ly 2 Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, said that during the flood at the end of July, the entire school campus was submerged by floodwaters.

The school's ground-level buildings were all flooded up to the roof, while the high-rise buildings were flooded above the second floor, causing severe damage to facilities and equipment.
“Seven classrooms were completely flooded, and furniture such as tables, chairs, teaching equipment, 12 televisions, 5 refrigerators, and 22 computers were damaged. In addition, nearly 1.7 tons of rice reserved for boarding students, all school records, boarding teachers’ belongings, books, blankets, and school supplies were all washed away or damaged by the flood in late July,” said Mr. Ha.
Mr. Tran Sy Ha added that the school has 16 classes with 220 students. According to the province's plan, on August 25, students will return to school at the village cultural houses. When the new school is completed, students will be transferred to study at a more spacious facility.

“Up to now, books, teaching aids and essential conditions have been fully prepared for students to study normally. We believe that this school year, students will still have enough joy and knowledge,” Mr. Ha shared.
It is known that My Ly 2 Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities is being supported by the Ministry of Public Security to build a new school. However, to keep up with the school year, students of this school will temporarily return to school and study at the village cultural houses.
