From the beginning of the year to June 15, 2025, immigration and exit activities through border gates and openings in Mong Cai City continued to be bustling, recording nearly 3.38 million people passing through, showing positive signs of recovery in Vietnam-China border exchanges and cooperation.

At Mong Cai International Border Gate (Bac Luan I), the total number of people entering and exiting the country reached more than 3.13 million, a slight decrease of 1% compared to the same period in 2024. Of which, the number of entries was more than 1.57 million and the number of exits was more than 1.56 million. Vietnamese and Chinese citizens accounted for the majority, using travel documents.

Notably, Bac Luan II Border Gate recorded strong growth, with more than 193,000 people entering and exiting the country, an increase of 88.5% over the same period last year. This is a positive signal in expanding the space for trade and travel between the two sides, especially when the opening of this customs clearance has reduced the pressure on entry and exit activities at Bac Luan I customs clearance.

Meanwhile, the Km3+4 Hai Yen opening recorded 50,866 people passing through, all of whom were Vietnamese and Chinese citizens using passports to participate in import and export activities in the border area.
