Besides rice, the Winter-Spring corn crop also reached over 4,100/5,600 hectares, reaching over 73% of the total cultivated area, with an estimated yield of 49.8 quintals/ha; various types of green vegetables were harvested on 4,760/4,790 hectares, reaching 99.3% of the total cultivated area, with an estimated yield of 158.7 quintals/ha.

Immediately after the Spring crop harvest, farmers have prepared the land on 12,336/22,525ha of the Summer crop cultivation area. At the same time, they have started sowing seedlings to prepare for early-season tea cultivation (accounting for 40% of the total Summer crop cultivation area); the amount of rice seeds reached about 245 tons. In addition to rice, the Summer crop corn area has been planted on 854/4386ha; 782/4590ha.
In order to achieve good results in the Summer-Autumn crop, the Department of Agriculture and Environment requested the People's Committees of districts to direct local authorities to strengthen propaganda work, instruct farmers to promote summer-autumn crop production, strive to complete the set targets, and not let farmers abandon their fields or crops. Mobilize maximum means and forces to speed up the progress of land preparation and planting of summer-autumn rice; direct and guide farmers to prepare the land carefully, increase lime fertilization to limit physiological diseases after planting. At the same time, strengthen inspection, estimate, forecast and direct timely prevention of rice pests and diseases right from the beginning of the crop...
