On the evening of June 22 in Ho Chi Minh City, on the catwalk of the Unfolding Her wedding dress collection, Miss Doan Thien An took on the vedette position, closing the show with a gorgeous, goddess-inspired design.
The dress features a soft underwire from the shoulders to the back, carved with meticulously cut petals, creating a soft yet powerful light effect as she walks.
The image of Doan Thien An in this special wedding dress represents a model of a modern bride: gentle, independent, unconventional but still elegant. This is also the consistent spirit that designer Kim Anh Le wants to express in this collection.
Runner-up Che Nguyen Quynh Chau opened the show in a tight design, showing off her sexy figure with curves made from organza. She is a familiar face on high-end fashion runways.
Doan Thien An and Quynh Chau are two faces who have been together through international events - now they have the opportunity to reunite on the catwalk in two special roles: first face and vedette, creating a complete journey for the fashion story about modern women.
Unfolding Her consists of 22 designs, conceived by designer Kim Anh Le from her own concerns about the constraints of wedding fashion. According to her, many girls are afraid of social prejudice and are afraid to wear dresses that reflect their own personality on their big day.
This collection is therefore considered a journey of self-liberation, so that brides are not only beautiful, but also true to themselves.
The designs impress with their hand-crafted shaping techniques, using a silk underwire to create flowing details while still maintaining a stable shape. Many designs feature 3D flowers applied from the bust to the body and train of the dress, creating a “blooming” feeling when the bride walks.
In addition to traditional white dress designs, the collection also uses trendy light colors such as beige, pink, cream, etc. to create a gentle, sweet but still luxurious feeling. Some designs also combine a stylized flared waist and a corset to accentuate the waist, increasing the variety of choices for the bride.
Sharing her idea, designer Kim Anh Le said: "There are girls who are afraid to wear their favorite dress because of gossip. I want to create a collection that makes them brave enough to choose the right thing that makes them happy."
By inviting beauties who have represented Vietnam in international competitions such as Doan Thien An and Quynh Chau, the designer not only conveys the image of a strong woman but also promotes diverse beauty, where there are no fixed standards in wedding fashion...
