On the afternoon of August 29, General Director of Hoa Binh Football Joint Stock Company (Hoa Binh Club) Nguyen Minh Tu said that the team will continue to compete normally in the new season 2025 - 2026.

Mr. Minh Tu said: "After the end of the 2024 - 2025 season, on July 22, Hoa Binh Club will focus on training again in the old Hoa Binh City (belonging to the new Phu Tho province), seriously carrying out professional preparations.

By mid-August, the team had submitted a complete list of team registration documents to VPF and the Organizing Committee of the National First Division for the 2025-2026 season. By 5:00 p.m. on August 29, the deadline for registration for the National First Division and National Cup, Hoa Binh Club had completed the registration of the list of players for the 2025-2026 season.

According to Mr. Tu, in parallel with preparing for the new season, Hoa Binh Club also asked for the opinion of the leaders of the People's Committee of Phu Tho province to change the name of Hoa Binh Club to Phu Tho Club.

According to the Government 's policy of administrative boundary merger, from July 1, 2025, Hoa Binh province and Phu Tho province will merge into Phu Tho province. Hoa Binh Club is located in Phu Tho province, so changing its name to Phu Tho Club is also reasonable.

Mr. Tu shared: "The club is very grateful to receive the attention of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Committee and departments of Phu Tho province for supporting, caring and creating conditions for Hoa Binh Club to continue competing in the national first division.

If the request to change its name to Phu Tho Club is approved, the team will plan to move its headquarters to choose Viet Tri Stadium as its home stadium - which many fans believe is a good land with the unbeaten record of the national teams.
