Deadline for candidates to confirm admission: Many universities reach more than 90% of their enrollment quota

Today (August 30) is the deadline for successful candidates to confirm their enrollment on the Ministry of Education and Training's system. Last week, many universities also welcomed new students to complete the enrollment procedures directly, many schools have reached more than 90% of their enrollment quota.

Master Cu Xuan Tien, Head of Admissions and Student Affairs Department of the University of Economics and Law (Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City), said that this year the school has improved its admission process, applying a foreign model. Accordingly, new students of the school have 3 days to confirm their admission online (August 24-25-26) and one day to directly enroll on August 27.

"On the day of direct enrollment, the school organized an experience and connection day for all new students and parents. This is the first time the school organized an enrollment day without submitting paper documents, without procedures or processes. On the day of the festival, students were given student cards, and together with their parents, they just had fun, experienced and connected in 9 areas with diverse activities," Master Tien informed.

On this day, 2 double-decker buses operated continuously from 8:30 to 10:30, taking hundreds of students and parents to visit the Ho Chi Minh City National University urban area. Booths of faculties and clubs, teams, and groups with many impressive activities of connection, acquaintance, and welcome. Parents and new students were also excited to interact and perform.

"Within just 3 days of online admission confirmation and one day in person, the school has reached 99% of its target. Some students have not arrived yet, hopefully after the National Day holiday, they will reach 100% of their target. The school will only collect paper applications for each class and department after September 9, when students have settled into school," shared Master Tien.

Dr. Nguyen Trung Nhan, Head of Training Department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, said that the school started welcoming new students to complete admission procedures online and in person from August 23, and as of today, August 30, the school has reached 98% of the target.

"From September 3, new students will start regular study combined with civic activities week," said Dr. Nhan.

At Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, admitted candidates began to confirm their enrollment online and in person at the school from August 23. Master Nguyen Thi Xuan Dung, Director of the school's Communication Center, informed that as of today, nearly 9,000 new students have arrived to enroll.

"The school plans to continue to welcome new students to enroll directly during the holiday and until the end of next week (September 7) to support candidates who have confirmed their enrollment online but have not yet come to complete the procedures," shared Master Dung.

Ms. Truong Thi Ngoc Bich, Director of the Information and Communication Center of the University of Economics and Finance, Ho Chi Minh City, said that the school has welcomed 5,300 new students to complete procedures, reaching 90% of the target. "Those who have confirmed their admission online but have not yet come to school to complete the procedures can still come to school in person in the following days. The school also continues to consider additional admission for all majors with admission scores equal to the first round's standard scores," Ms. Bich informed.

Gia Dinh University currently has nearly 60% of its enrollment target. According to Dr. Mai Duc Toan, Director of the Admissions and Communications Center, the school is considering additional enrollment of 271 students for all majors.

Meanwhile, on September 4-5-6-7, the University of Finance and Marketing will begin welcoming new students to complete admission procedures in person so that parents and students have more time to prepare.

Failure to confirm admission will result in loss of admission opportunity.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Phung, Deputy Director of the Center for Admissions and Corporate Relations of the University of Finance and Marketing, noted: "Today is the last day to confirm online admission on the system of the Ministry of Education and Training. Students need to complete this procedure no later than 5:00 p.m. This is a mandatory procedure to ensure the admission rights of candidates. If you skip or forget to do it, the admission results will no longer be valid, which means that candidates will lose the opportunity to become official students."
