Support for night-time economic development in Vinh city and Cua Lo town

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Thanh An signed Official Dispatch No. 1327/UBND dated February 23, 2024 requesting provincial departments, branches, sectors, units and the People's Committees of Vinh City and Cua Lo Town to continue implementing the Night-time Economic Development Project in the province.

Accordingly, implementing Official Dispatch No. 738 dated January 30, 2024 of the Government Office on the situation and results of 3 years of implementing Decision No. 1129/QD-TTg dated July 27, 2020 of the Prime Minister approving the Project on Night-time Economic Development in Vietnam, the Provincial People's Committee assigned provincial-level Departments, branches, sectors and units according to their assigned functions and tasks to continue implementing the tasks and solutions set out in Decision No. 1129/QD-TTg dated July 27, 2020 of the Prime Minister.

Along with that, continue to review and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of state management in implementing tasks and solutions to promote the development of the night-time economic model, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the province.

Assign the People's Committee of Vinh City and Cua Lo Town to continue implementing plans and solutions to develop the night-time economy in the area. Focus on completing support models to promote the development of the night-time economy in the area such as: walking streets, night streets, food streets, commercial infrastructure, and entertainment areas.

At the same time, continue to focus on investing in synchronous and modern infrastructure works such as roads, sidewalks, lighting combined with decoration, trees, ornamental plants and streets with highlights to create a difference at night.

Review, approve, and adjust development plans, construction plans, land use plans, functional zoning plans, etc. to ensure consistency and avoid overlap. Continue to plan the formation of night-time economic development zones in conjunction with architectural planning, infrastructure construction, traffic organization plans, ensuring urban security and order, ensuring electricity and water sources, waste collection and treatment systems, and environmental protection.

In addition, propaganda and dissemination create consensus among people and encourage people to participate in night-time economic activities. Propaganda and promotion of night-time activities and services on mass media channels, social networks... Integrate night-time economic promotion content into tourism, trade and investment promotion programs; cooperation programs with other localities.
