The image reveals a clear look at the new camera cluster of the iPhone 17 Pro, a different design compared to its predecessor.

On social network X , rumor expert Majin Bu shared images of the iPhone 17 Pro, the smartphone model expected to be launched by Apple later this year.

While all the attention is on the super-thin iPhone 17, Apple is still focusing on improving the design of the iPhone 17 Pro. Based on the latest rumors and images, the device may have a new camera cluster, still keeping the triangular lens layout but with a different arrangement.

The iPhone 17 Pro in the photo is black, emphasizing the new camera cluster design. Instead of a square surrounding the lens, the camera bump now spans the entire width of the back, a different color than the rest.

While the camera lens remains on the left and arranged in a triangle, secondary components like the microphone, LED flash, and LiDAR sensor are moved to the right.

If the rumors are true, the camera on the iPhone 17 Pro could remind many people of the Google Pixel. For comparison, the recent iPhone Pro lines have a square camera cluster in the upper left corner. The LED flash, microphone, and LiDAR sensor are located along the telephoto lens.

Regarding specifications, 9to5Mac 's source said that the iPhone 17 Pro has a 48 MP telephoto camera instead of 12 MP, supports video recording with multiple cameras at the same time, in addition to a 24 MP selfie camera.

The image also shows that the camera cluster on the iPhone 17 Pro has a darker black tone, different from the rest of the back. Previously, leaker Jon Prosser said that the back of the iPhone 17 Pro has 2 tones, the camera cluster is darker than the rest.

Apart from the rear camera, the remaining details on the iPhone 17 Pro are almost unchanged from its predecessor, including the location of the power button and Camera Control.

There are still questions about the accuracy of the images. For example, the flash and LiDAR sensors are often placed near the lens to improve accuracy. It’s unclear whether the new camera design is functional or just a cosmetic refresh.

Currently, it is unclear whether the iPhone 17 Pro Max will change the camera cluster or not. This possibility is quite high because Apple tends to maintain the same design for the iPhone Pro line.

The new design can also be applied to the ultra-thin model (tentatively called iPhone 17 Air). Based on the rendering, the camera cluster on the device is lower because it only contains one lens on the left, while the microphone and LED flash are on the right.
