The construction of a smart grid is being implemented step by step by PC Thanh Hoa, focusing on upgrading technical infrastructure and digitizing management, operation, and customer care... Currently, PC Thanh Hoa is investing in medium and low voltage grid systems as well as the 110kV grid. Many upgrade projects have been implemented to meet the increasing load demand, especially in industrial parks and new urban areas.

Along with the completion of the medium, low voltage and 110kV grid infrastructure, the SCADA system has been deployed at all unmanned 110kV transformer stations. Thanh Hoa PC has also completed the installation of remote measurement at 100% of the measurement points, with a remote measurement connection rate of 98%. Of which, the 110kV transformer station (TSA) includes 506 measurement points; the power boundary with the power has 34 measurement points; the intermediate transformer station has 29 measurement points.

As of June 30, 2025, the entire company has completed the conversion of 100% of post-substation meters to EVNHES meter data collection software; providing electronic services throughout the company reached 100%; providing level 4 online electricity services throughout the company reached 100%; the rate of non-cash payment of electricity bills for services with costs reached 100%, of which online payment of costs via the customer care website reached 82.3%.

The rate of cashless customers in the first 6 months of 2025 is 100% (exceeding the target assigned by the corporation by 99.33%); revenue through cashless payment channels reaches 100%; the rate of electricity bill payment by automatic debit in the first 6 months of 2025 reaches 10.83%.

Shared software and video conferencing systems operate stably, ensuring the company's production and business requirements. In June and the first 6 months of 2025, the company completed 100% of the access rate of shared software: CMIS, ERP, HRMS-QT, PMIS, QLMBA, IMIS, digitizing processes... At the same time, completing the periodic password change of ERP, SHQT, ECP software on time, ensuring the completion of the evaluation and scoring criteria assigned by the corporation; completing on time the standardization of accounts of shared software including HRMS, Doffice, CMIS, PMIS, OMS, Portal, GCS online Web, online debt settlement Web...

With the spirit of proactiveness, in March 2025, PC Thanh Hoa organized an intensive training course on "Application of GenAI and AI in the electricity industry" for the company's management staff and specialists. Speaking at the program, Director of PC Thanh Hoa Hoang Hai emphasized: "The intensive training course on "Application of GenAI and AI in the electricity industry" is not only a knowledge enrichment activity but also an important foundation for applying AI into practical work. This technology will help improve efficiency in many areas, from load forecasting, analyzing electricity consumption data, optimizing customer service, automating monitoring and operating the power system to improving labor productivity, reducing operating costs... Units, officers and employees of the entire company need to be clearly aware to deploy AI applications, taking advantage of technology as an effective support tool to improve work efficiency, innovate business models and ensure safe and stable electricity supply".

Thanh Hoa PC is currently managing 31 110kV substations/49 110kV substations (with a total installed capacity of S= 2,237MVA, an increase of 337MVA compared to the same period in 2024) with 72 110kV lines (1,111.918km long), 265 medium voltage lines (7,572.08km) and 13,124km of low voltage grid. The maximum capacity (Pmax) of the whole province increased by 8.86% over the same period, with some areas increasing by up to 2%. Voltage at 110kV substations was maintained stable within the allowable limit. Commercial electricity output reached 4,200.89 million kWh, an increase of 11.26% over the same period, completing 46.56% of the yearly plan.

In the context of increasing demand for electricity and the need to modernize the electricity industry and transform into sustainable energy, the development of smart grids is an inevitable trend. The consistent viewpoint identified by PC Thanh Hoa is to improve the reliability and safety of electricity supply, while strongly applying digital technology to optimize operational management and customer service.

In the coming time, Thanh Hoa PC will continue to invest in expanding the power grid towards comprehensive modernization, promoting the application of new technologies, installing electronic meters, smart switching devices, enhancing SCADA and DAS connections... Promoting research on the application of AI and IoT in load analysis and incident forecasting, helping the electricity industry operate safely, economically and effectively, building a digital ecosystem in all production and business activities, making practical contributions to the socio -economic development of the province.
