Provincial People's Council approved many important contents before merging into a province.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council said that on the afternoon of June 27, the Provincial People's Council, term X, 2021 - 2026, convened the 32nd session (special session) to consider matters under its authority. This is the last session of An Giang province (old) before merging with Kien Giang province to form An Giang province (new).

At the meeting, delegates reviewed and voted to approve the draft Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Regulation on decentralization of revenue sources and expenditure tasks for the 2022-2025 budget stabilization period of the budgets at all levels of An Giang province, issued together with Resolution 15/2021/NQ-HDND, dated October 28, 2021; the draft Resolution adjusting Resolution 64/NQ-HDND, dated December 9, 2024 on the State budget revenue estimate in the area, local budget revenue and expenditure and local budget allocation of An Giang province in 2025.
