On March 1, Ship 09, Brigade 171, Naval Region 2 docked at Brigade 171, ending a voyage of nearly 3,000 nautical miles to participate in the 5th Komodo Multilateral Naval Exercise 2025 in Indonesia.

Previously, on February 8, the working delegation and Ship 09 left the port of Brigade 171 to carry out the mission of participating in the 5th Komodo Multilateral Naval Exercise in 2025 in Indonesia. After 22 days of traveling at sea and participating in activities within the framework of the exercise, the working delegation and Ship 09 representing the Vietnam Navy fully and responsibly participated in the contents and subjects within the framework of the program, leaving behind many good feelings.
Ship 09 is part of the 5th tactical group with naval ships from Malaysia and host Indonesia. The sea exercise phase has 15 participating countries, 25 ships and 20 aircraft with activities including: checking communications; building and moving in formation; signal flag information; law enforcement at sea; moving formation to take photos from above; search and rescue with the hypothetical situation of a cruise ship on fire and passengers drifting at sea...

Ship 09 and the working group of the Vietnam Navy during the exercise strictly followed the regulations in foreign defense affairs, ensuring absolute safety for people and technical equipment, which were highly appreciated by the host country and the navies of other countries. During the voyage, through sea areas with different weather and wind conditions, the working group and crew of Ship 09 united, overcame difficulties, organized the operation according to plan, completed all tasks well, achieved the set goals and requirements.
For cultural, artistic and sports exchange activities, officers and soldiers of Ship 09 brought to the people of Bali island, the navies of other countries Vietnamese dances and songs, and Indonesian dances, which were enthusiastically cheered on by students, local people and international friends.
Community activities such as sports activities to improve health; participating in beach cleaning; planting mangroves; releasing sea turtles... in Bali demonstrate the responsibility of Vietnamese Navy soldiers towards protecting nature and the environment, contributing to enhancing mutual understanding, building solidarity, friendship, spreading the image of openness, friendliness, and the spirit of cooperation between the Vietnam People's Navy and the Navies of other countries.

According to Rear Admiral Le Ba Quan, Commander of Naval Region 2, the Vietnamese Navy's sending of a working delegation and Ship 09 to participate in the Komodo exercise contributes to consolidating and enhancing the friendly and cooperative relations between the Vietnamese People's Navy and the Indonesian Navy and the countries participating in the exercise. At the same time, it promotes mutual understanding and trust, affirms the ability to coordinate and cooperate, and is ready to respond to common challenges; supports and promotes initiatives for humanitarian purposes, maritime security, peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.
