Meanwhile, according to the project's objectives "Developing high-tech industry and supporting industry in the 2021-2025 period, with a vision to 2030", Hai Duong strives to have 240 enterprises in the supporting industry sector by 2025.

Among more than 300 supporting industry enterprises, there are 75 mechanical engineering enterprises, 80 electrical-electronic enterprises; 78 plastic, rubber, chemical enterprises; 55 textile-garment-leather-footwear enterprises...

In the period of 2021-2024, the province has directed, actively supported and encouraged domestic enterprises to transform production models, increase the rate of automation in production activities, and increase the technology content in products through technology transfer. Thereby meeting the processing needs of FDI enterprises throughout Vietnam. Supporting enterprises to participate in the global value chain through the supply of raw materials, molds, materials and production components.

The next phase of Hai Duong's supporting industry is to form strategic links between mechanical engineering, electricity, electronics, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals, serving the goal of producing high-tech products such as sensors, electronic chips, microcircuits, and electric cars with a localization rate of 60-70%.

In the period of 2021-2025, the production value of the province's supporting industry is estimated to reach an average of 78,900 billion VND/year, accounting for 18% of the total production value of the entire industry. In which, the main activities are supporting production activities for the mechanical and metallurgical industries, accounting for 41%; the electricity and electronics industry accounts for 19.9%; the rest are textiles, footwear and other industries.
