Ha Tinh approves plan to prevent and respond to strong storms and super storms in 2025

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Linh has just signed a decision approving the Plan to prevent and respond to strong storms and super storms in 2025.

Officers and soldiers of Regiment 841 and the Military Command of Cam Xuyen district supported people in Trung Tien village, Cam Trung commune to overcome the consequences of the tornado on June 12.

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee agrees with the proposal of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue in Document No. 66/PCTT dated June 5, 2025, attached with Plan No. 62/PCTT dated June 4, 2025 of the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue.

At the same time, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue is required to promptly update and adjust the plan for preventing and responding to strong storms and super storms in 2025, and submit it to competent authorities for approval immediately after the new commune-level administrative unit comes into operation.

In all cases, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue (the agency that develops the plan), the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue (the agency that appraises and proposes) shall be fully responsible before the law, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the accuracy of the information, reported data, appraisal content, conformity with reality, legal regulations, recommendations, proposals, and the entire implementation process.

The plan for prevention and response to strong storms and super storms in 2025 was compiled and developed by the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue, corresponding to storm scenarios and sea level rise scenarios when there is a storm; each scenario determines the number of people needing to be evacuated, evacuation locations; fully details the forces, materials, and means involved in storm prevention and response; and logistics during and after the storm occurs.

At the same time, the plan also assigns specific responsibilities to departments, branches and localities in storm prevention and response.

The plan is highly feasible to limit damage to people and property when storms, strong storms, and super storms occur.
