Hanoi: Exam scores and benchmark scores for 10th grade high school to be announced soon

TPO - According to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, the unit is currently reviewing the final stages to announce exam scores and admission scores for grade 10 high school, expected to be on July 4.

According to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, up to this point, the marking of the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year in Hanoi has been completed. Currently, the unit is handling some more steps to announce the exam scores on July 4.

The difference of this year's exam is that the admission score to grade 10 of public high schools will not be multiplied by the coefficient of the subjects.

The formula is as follows: Math exam score + Literature exam score + Foreign language exam score + priority and incentive points (if any).

In which, the exam scores are graded on a 10-point scale. Candidates are considered for admission if they complete all 3 exams, do not violate the regulations to the extent of having their exam results canceled, and do not have any exam subject with a score of 0.

Each candidate can register for 3 wishes, considered in order: candidates who are admitted to wish 1 will not be considered for wish 2 or wish 3.

Students who do not pass their first choice can be considered for their second choice but must have an admission score at least 1.0 point higher than the school's admission score for their first choice.

Students who do not pass their first or second choice will be considered for their third choice, but must have an admission score at least 2.0 points higher than the school's admission score for their first choice.

The special point in this year's exam is that the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will simultaneously announce the exam scores for candidates and the benchmark scores of high schools.

Previously, the department expected to announce the exam results between July 4 and 6.

This year, the city has nearly 103,000 candidates registered for the 10th grade high school entrance exam, of which public schools will only accept about 64% of them. The rest will have other options such as: studying at private schools, vocational training, Continuing Education Centers - Vocational Education....
