Rich and unique art activities, festivals and exhibitions
To welcome the festival, Hanoi's tourism industry has implemented many promotional activities, tourism promotion, and stimulus, while carefully preparing infrastructure and services for tourists.
A series of exhibitions and thematic displays have opened, providing rich perspectives on history, culture and art. Notable among them are the exhibition “Sharp pen, red heart” at Hoa Lo Prison; the exhibition “Independence Autumn” and the large-scale oil painting “Independence Spring” at the Ho Chi Minh Museum; “Popular Education - Lighting up the Future” at the National Museum of History; “Children of the Fatherland” and the exhibition Artificial Intelligence in Fine Arts at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum. Thang Long Imperial Citadel and the National Exhibition Center have also become meeting places for many cultural and artistic events.

The festival atmosphere also spreads through a series of large-scale art programs: "VConcert - Radiant Vietnam", "Under the glorious flag", "Fatherland in the heart", " Hanoi - From the historic autumn of 1945", "Hanoi - Forever shining Vietnamese aspiration"... The light mapping performances at Hoan Kiem Lake and August Revolution Square promise to create impressive moments.
At the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism, visitors will experience the highland market space and ethnic cultural exchange, contributing to introducing diverse Vietnamese identity.
At the Vietnam Exhibition Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi), preparations have entered the final stages of completing the construction of the exhibition booth, decorating the landscape, and completing technical items for the National Achievements Exhibition on the occasion of the 80th National Day anniversary with the theme: "80 Years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness", taking place from August 28 to September 5, 2025.

In particular, on September 2, Ba Dinh Square will host a large-scale celebration, parade, and fireworks display at 5 locations: Hoan Kiem Lake, West Lake, Van Quan Lake, Thong Nhat Park, and My Dinh National Stadium.
New tourism products and experiences
This year, many museums, theaters, and tourist attractions are open for free. Visitors can try their hand at mosaic painting, pottery weaving, and recycled ceramic paintings in Bat Trang; visit the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long and watch water puppetry; or explore the 54 ethnic groups at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism.

Hanoi also introduced many new tourism products such as: "South Thang Long-Hanoi Heritage Road" route, "Tran Vu Bell" night tour, "Discovering Ba Vi Identity" program with Muong and Dao cultural experiences; health care resort tourism in the suburbs.
The highlight is the double-decker tourist train tour “Nam Cua O” - The Hanoi Train, opening on August 19, 2025, including 5 passenger cars named after famous gates (O Cau Den, O Quan Chuong, O Cau Giay, O Cho Dua, O Dong Mac), combining nostalgic design with unique cultural and culinary experiences. In parallel, express bus routes, double-decker buses, open-roof minibuses and promotional programs for travel via technology applications will help visitors conveniently participate in the event.

Accommodation and public services
With 3,761 accommodation establishments, more than 71,000 rooms, including 85 hotels and apartment complexes from 1 to 5 stars, Hanoi is capable of accommodating a large number of visitors. Many high-end hotels are launching attractive resort packages with spa services, cuisine, fireworks viewing experiences, and special gifts such as limited edition “Fatherland in the Heart” polo shirts.
The city also called on businesses, hotels, restaurants, and supermarkets to open free restrooms, ensuring a clean, safe, and civilized environment. Security, order, traffic, fire prevention, and food hygiene have been enhanced to serve residents and tourists.
Along with that, Hanoi also calls on every citizen and tourist to join hands to preserve the environment and landscape, contributing to building the image of the Capital as "Green - Civilized - Modern - For Peace", always a "Safe - Friendly - Quality - Attractive" destination for friends from all over the world.
Notably, Hanoi city is urgently deploying the installation and putting into operation more than 1,000 free public toilets in areas with a large number of visitors during the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, such as Ba Dinh Square, Mai Xuan Thuong flower garden, Hoan Kiem Lake, sidewalks, etc. to serve about 1 million people and tourists participating in activities to celebrate the Great Day.
