According to information from the news program broadcast on VTV1 on July 6, the Criminal Police Department and the Cua Nam Ward Police, Hanoi City, arrested a group of brokers and clinic staff who specialized in brokering, insulting, and cursing doctors and patients around the 3 gates of the Central Maternity Hospital.

Initial investigation determined that there was collusion, conspiracy, and profiteering among brokers around the hospital gates and clinics.

For each patient successfully brought to the clinic, the broker receives a commission of 10% of the examination and testing fee.

This group of people divided into groups of brokers around the 3 gates of the Central Maternity Hospital, following patients from other provinces to Hanoi.

The scenario is that the hospital is under repair, or if you want a quick check-up, follow them to the clinics of the head doctors, or the best doctors in the hospital.

Some people dressed as motorbike taxi drivers or security guards to approach patients.

Clinic staff admitted that there were cases of incorrect test prescriptions or charging examination fees, and that the cost of testing was many times higher than in the hospital.

Hanoi City Police are consolidating documents to prosecute if there is sufficient evidence.
