Professor Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao is Chairman of the Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics has just decided to establish the University Council for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 27 members, with Professor Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao as Chairman of the Council.

This afternoon (August 19), Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics announced the decision on the University Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (UEH) for the 2025-2030 term.

Accordingly, the Minister of Education and Training signed Decision No. 2318/QD-BGDDT on recognizing the University Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (UEH) for the 2025-2030 term with 27 members.

At the same time, the Minister of Education and Training also issued Decision No. 2319/QD-BGDDT recognizing Professor, Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao - Party Committee Secretary, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics to hold the position of Chairman of the Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics for the 2025-2030 term.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao was born in 1979, his hometown is Hanoi. He graduated with a PhD in Economics, Finance - Banking in 2009 and was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2015. In 2023, he was recognized and appointed to the title of Professor. To date, Prof. Dr. Bao has more than 20 years of experience in teaching, scientific research and university education management.

Before being elected as Chairman of the Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics for the 2025-2030 term, Professor Bao held many positions such as: Head of the Finance Department (2016), Head of the Training Department (2020), Vice Principal of the School of Technology and Design under Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (2021), Vice Principal and then Vice Director of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (from 2022 to present).

Previously, at the June meeting, at the Party Congress of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics for the 2025-2030 term, Professor Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao was elected as Party Secretary.

With this decision, Professor Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao officially became Chairman of the Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (replacing Professor Nguyen Dong Phong, who is now a representative member of the faculty of the Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics for the new term).
