There is some information that the exam questions are difficult, especially for the Math and English exams, which could be due to many reasons, but we need to wait until the exam results are available to determine clearly.

The Ministry of Education and Training affirmed that this year's exam was organized safely, seriously, in accordance with regulations, and in line with the innovation policy.

The 2025 High School Graduation Exam is designed for candidates to take two compulsory subjects: Math, Literature and 22 elective subjects from the subjects that students study in grade 12. Accordingly, candidates will be able to choose two of their strong subjects to take the exam and get the admission results.

The Ministry of Education and Training said that this year's exam has increased the number of differentiating questions.

The construction of the exam structure format will be implemented and announced by the Ministry of Education and Training from the end of 2023.

This exam format structure helps to better assess the ability of university and college admission candidates but ensures that it does not exceed the requirements set out in the 2018 General Education Program.

The Ministry of Education and Training has developed a number of exam questions for large-scale testing with about 12,000 candidates nationwide.

The Ministry of Education and Training affirmed: “The content of the exam is part of the 2018 General Education Program, not exceeding the requirements of the Program. The required thinking level ratio (related to difficulty level): closely follows the published reference; has differentiation and is based on the test results in 3 regions.

There are many reasons for some difficult test scores, especially for Math and English, but we need to wait until the test results are available to determine clearly.

On June 26-27, the Ministry of Education and Training organized exams for nearly 1.17 million candidates nationwide. After the exams ended, many candidates, teachers, and experts commented that this year's Math and English exams had strong differentiation, especially in English.
There are also opinions that the difficulty of the exam questions between subjects varies, which risks causing unfairness in university admission combinations.
