Born into a family with no one in the arts, Nguyen Thanh Chuc (born in 2004, in Hanoi) soon revealed a strong passion for music . With persistent efforts and a spirit of continuous learning, the young girl is gradually asserting herself on the path of academic music, especially opera music, which is selective of its audience.

Since childhood, Thanh Chuc grew up in a bustling musical atmosphere thanks to his grandparents, parents, siblings and especially his uncle who created conditions for him to participate in artistic performances in the village and neighborhood.
The turning point came at the age of 18, when she met teacher Dang Hong Nhung - the person who connected Thanh Chuc with the opportunity to study with lecturer and singer Dao Nguyen Vu. It was teacher Vu who discovered and nurtured her classical vocal potential. Thanh Chuc is currently a third-year intermediate student at the Vocal Music Department, Vietnam National Academy of Music.

Wanting to challenge herself, Thanh Chuc decided to register for the Asia Artist Festival 2025 (AAF) - one of the prestigious art playgrounds gathering more than 2,600 contestants from more than 20 countries and territories. The piece she chose was the Aria “Le violette” from the opera “Pirro e Demetrio” by Alessandro Scarlatti - a difficult work requiring high vocal technique in the Baroque genre.
Although the contest entry was very challenging, Thanh Chuc kept practicing. Encouragement from her family and teachers was a great source of motivation to help her gain confidence on stage and achieve a high award.

Not choosing the easy path to “shine quickly”, Thanh Chuc pursued opera – a classical music genre that is somewhat unfamiliar to the majority of young audiences. Besides, her teacher also guided her to try her hand at chamber folk music – a genre of music rich in identity and artistic depth.
According to lecturer Dao Nguyen Vu, what makes him trust his students is not only their voice suitable for classical music, but also their learning spirit and serious attitude towards art.
After the competition, Thanh Chuc said he will continue to focus on studying, improving his skills, and at the same time plan to release music products with his personal mark and actively participate in international competitions to test himself and grow.
“This award is a stepping stone for me to dare to dream bigger, to think about bigger stages. I hope to live fully with my passion and conquer many new musical milestones in the future,” shared young opera singer Nguyen Thanh Chuc.
The Golden Cup is not only Nguyen Thanh Chuc's first artistic milestone, but also a testament to the tireless efforts of a young talent pursuing the challenging genre of opera.
