Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Ho Xuan Lam, Vice President of HUFO, said that in May 2023, HUFO and Suoi Tien Cultural Tourism Area signed a People-to-People Foreign Cooperation Agreement for the period 2023 - 2025, aiming to enhance the image, increase understanding, solidarity and friendship between the Vietnamese people and international friends.
This year, the two agencies jointly organized the Cultural Exchange - Friendship Program 2025, with the aim of creating a dynamic, youthful space, creating opportunities for international exchange, especially in the field of culture - arts.
Mr. Ho Xuan Lam affirmed that people-to-people diplomacy is a bridge between nations through activities to promote understanding, friendliness and cooperation between people of different countries. This is a form of diplomacy based on emotional, traditional and cultural relationships, helping to build a more authentic, vivid and closer image of the country in the eyes of international friends.
According to Mr. Ho Xuan Lam, the indispensable role of culture and arts in people-to-people diplomacy is the role of culture and arts. Culture and arts are not only the unique identity of each nation, but also a bridge to help strengthen solidarity and mutual understanding between nations.
HUFO Vice President believes that the Cultural Exchange - Friendship Program 2025 will convey a positive message, build the image of Vietnam and friendship with foreigners living and working in Ho Chi Minh City; increase opportunities for exchange, learning, and mutual understanding, thereby promoting peace , cooperation and development.
On this occasion, HUFO awarded commemorative medals to domestic and foreign units participating in cultural and artistic performances.
