Food safety supervision for Hoa Lu Festival 2024

From April 15-19, the Provincial Food Safety and Hygiene Department coordinated with the Hoa Lu District Medical Center and Truong Yen Commune to organize food safety supervision for the Hoa Lu Festival in 2024.

The delegation focused on monitoring restaurants and food service establishments in Hoa Lu district where delegates, guests, organizers, and tourists ate and stayed, and food service establishments and street food around the Hoa Lu Ancient Capital Special National Monument.

Monitoring activities focus on the following contents: Conditions of facilities, equipment, tools, and people directly involved in food processing and serving; food safety practices at the facility; food processing, preservation, and transportation procedures; three-step food inspection, keeping food samples at the facility, and recording books according to regulations; origin, source, and quality of food, food additives, and raw materials used for food processing; water sources for processing and trading, etc.

The delegation also conducted a three-step inspection according to regulations for the reception and meals served to delegates, guests, and the Organizing Committee; conducted rapid food safety tests on food, food processing ingredients, water sources, food containers, and took food samples for testing (if necessary).

Through monitoring to effectively control, ensure food safety, strive to prevent food poisoning, food safety incidents, affecting the health of delegates, guests, organizers, and tourists attending the festival. Thereby contributing to the successful organization of Hoa Lu Festival in 2024.
