Thoroughly resolve voters' opinions and recommendations

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - Since the beginning of the 2021-2026 term, many recommendations from voters in the province have been thoroughly resolved by relevant agencies and departments. These results are thanks to the innovation in the direction and management of the Provincial People's Council as well as the responsibility of the Provincial People's Committee in directing, handling and resolving them. Thereby, it has contributed to strengthening the trust and excitement of voters with the People's Council delegates and local authorities.

The 30th session of the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026, approved many important contents.

In order to promptly grasp the opinions and recommendations of voters, in recent times, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council has coordinated with the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and local Party committees and authorities to develop a plan to organize meetings with voters in the direction of expanding the composition and subjects, so that voters can express their recommendations and aspirations right at the grassroots level. At meetings with voters, the presentation of reports is shortened to give more time for voters to reflect and make recommendations, and at the same time for leaders of Party committees and authorities to thoroughly explain the contents under their authority. After fully receiving the opinions and recommendations of voters, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council has coordinated with the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to synthesize, review, classify, and forward to the Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies for consideration, response, and resolution.

Regarding issues of concern to the people and voters, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council has requested the leaders of responsible agencies and units to explain in a number of regular meetings of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, or requested departments and branches to provide specific written responses. In addition, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council and the committees of the Provincial People's Council have strengthened supervision, especially thematic supervision related to the areas of concern and recommendations of voters. At the same time, they have strengthened monitoring and urging the implementation of conclusions and recommendations after supervision to ensure the effectiveness of supervision activities. Thanks to that, many recommendations of voters have been thoroughly resolved, removing difficulties and concerns, meeting the expectations of voters and the people.

For example, according to the feedback and recommendations of voters in Thieu Hoa and Thieu Quang communes, the Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial People's Committee to upgrade the Chu River dike section through the area, due to the dike's deterioration and traffic difficulties. Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the locality and related units to strictly inspect and control overloaded vehicles on the dike to limit the deterioration of the dike surface; at the same time, directed the Department of Agriculture and Environment to coordinate with the locality to advise the Provincial People's Committee to report to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment for consideration and allocation of funds to maintain the left dike surface of the Chu River from Thieu Hoa commune to Thieu Quang commune according to regulations.

Or voters of Xuan Thai commune proposed that the Provincial People's Committee consider allowing households in the Song Muc reservoir area at an elevation of 37.17m who still have land for housing and production to settle down in place, because the resettlement program for households in the Song Muc reservoir area is supported too low, people do not have enough to move to a new place. Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee requested the locality to actively coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Environment to review and update households in the project, ensuring the right subjects according to regulations; at the same time, step up propaganda and mobilization work to encourage people to strictly comply, be ready to move to a new place and follow the policies of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee on the program of arranging and stabilizing residents...

Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Le Tien Lam affirmed that thanks to the good performance in resolving voters' petitions, issues arising in practice at the grassroots level have been promptly resolved, and voters' concerns and questions about the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State have been specifically explained. This result has contributed to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of State management as well as protecting the legitimate rights and interests of citizens, promoting socio-economic development, maintaining political security and social order and safety in the locality.

In the coming time, the Provincial People's Council will continue to innovate in its management activities, have solutions to resolve voters' recommendations with focus and key points, promptly detect shortcomings in practice, and make recommendations to competent authorities in management and implementation to ensure flexibility, determination and effectiveness.
