Previously, from 0:00 on July 1 (Tuesday this week), gasoline prices decreased due to a 2% reduction in value added tax (VAT).

Specifically, E5 RON92 gasoline decreased by 101 VND/liter compared to the previous period, to 20,530 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline decreased by 128 VND/liter compared to the previous period, to no higher than 21,116 VND/liter.

In the past 2 weeks, the world oil market has fluctuated due to conflicts in the Middle East, causing world oil prices to increase, with the risk of supply disruption. Some major traders have reduced the discount on oil for agents to 500 VND, or even 100-200 VND.

However, the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development said that by June 25, due to positive signals from negotiations in the Middle East, gasoline prices had decreased, the risk of supply shortage had also decreased, so the discount of key enterprises had also increased again to more than 2,000 VND/liter.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, when participating in business in the market, petrol dealers and retail stores must accept the rules of the market and be subject to market regulation (supply, demand, price). Therefore, they must have their own business plan to respond when the market fluctuates.
