(NLDO) – The price of SJC gold bars and gold rings this morning, March 11, both decreased sharply following the world gold price.
On the morning of March 11, the price of SJC gold bars was listed by SJC, PNJ, DOJI , Bao Tin Minh Chau, and Phu Quy companies at 90.6 million VND/tael for buying and 92.6 million VND/tael for selling - down 300,000 VND compared to the end of yesterday.
The difference between buying and selling prices is also kept at 2 million VND/tael.
The price of 99.99 gold rings and jewelry gold also decreased. Enterprises such as SJC Company bought gold rings at 90.6 million VND/tael and sold at 92.5 million VND/tael - down half a million VND compared to yesterday's peak.
A rather special development is that all three times the gold price climbed to a historical high of 93.1 million VND/tael from the beginning of 2025 until now, but it could not last long.
Domestic gold prices fall sharply again
However, the price of gold rings is different between brands. PNJ sells for around 92.9 million VND/tael; Bao Tin Minh Chau still keeps this brand's gold rings at around 93.2 million VND/tael. Meanwhile, Phu Quy sells for 93.1 million VND/tael. Thus, the price of gold rings is higher than SJC gold bars.
Domestic gold prices plummeted following the sharp decline in world gold prices. In the international market, the price of this precious metal suddenly fell below the $2,900/ounce mark, falling deeply to $2,881/ounce in the trading session last night and early this morning.
At 9:30 a.m. Vietnam time, the gold price increased again, to 2,893 USD/ounce, but still decreased about 30 USD/ounce compared to the highest level of the previous session (about 900,000 VND/tael according to the listed exchange rate).
Gold prices fell amid a sell-off in international stocks, and the US dollar continued to weaken as the US dollar index traded at 103.7 points - the lowest level since November last year.
Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 89.6 million VND/tael.
