In the world market, based on quotes from export enterprises and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Community (IPC) has updated the prices of all types of pepper traded in the international market on June 29 (local time) as follows:
Indonesian Lampung black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $7,528 per tonne. Meanwhile, Muntok white pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $10,169 per tonne.
Brazilian ASTA black pepper prices were unchanged from yesterday at $5,850/tonne.

Prices of all types of pepper in Vietnam remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Of which, the price of Vietnamese black pepper 500 gr/l reached 5,800 USD/ton; 550 gr/l reached 5,900 USD/ton.
Similarly, Vietnam's white pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $8,800/ton.
Going against the export trend, domestic pepper prices increased by 10,000 VND/kg last week.
Overall for the week, domestic pepper prices increased sharply from 5,000 to 10,000 VND/kg compared to the previous week, bringing the purchase price to around 128,000 - 133,000 VND/kg. This is a clear sign of recovery after a period of deep decline.
In the world market, the price of Indonesian black pepper increased by 67 USD/ton last week, reaching 7,528 USD/ton. In contrast, Brazilian black pepper decreased by 200 USD/ton, to 5,850 USD/ton. The export price of Vietnamese black pepper also decreased similarly, currently fluctuating from 5,800 to 5,900 USD/ton depending on the type.
For white pepper, Indonesia continued to increase the price, up to 10,169 USD/ton. Meanwhile, Vietnamese white pepper decreased by 200 USD/ton, down to 8,800 USD/ton. Malaysian white pepper remained stable at 11,750 USD/ton.
The previous prolonged price decline has prompted some Vietnamese farmers to start selling their stocks, but trading volumes remain lower than last year. Over the past two months, domestic pepper prices have fallen sharply from a peak of VND160,000/kg to a season low of VND135,000/kg. The main reasons for the decline are weak demand in major markets such as the US, the Middle East and China, along with uncertainties over tariff policies.
Regarding exports, in the first 5 months of 2025, Vietnam exported 100,000 tons of pepper, down from 113,000 tons in the same period in 2024. Asia was the largest importer with 25,000 tons (up 13%), followed by North America with 24,000 tons (down 25%) and Europe with 22,000 tons (down 20%). This clearly reflects the changing trend in global demand as well as the competitive pressure that the Vietnamese pepper industry is facing.
