Pepper price today 1/7 in the world market
In the world market, based on quotes from export enterprises and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Community (IPC) has updated the prices of pepper of all types traded in the international market on June 30 (local time) as follows:

Domestic pepper prices continue to rise, concerns about US tariffs put pressure on exports
Domestic pepper prices today increased sharply from 3,000 to 8,000 VND/kg, showing that the market is recovering strongly after a period of stagnation. The continuous increase over many days reflects improved purchasing demand from businesses and traders, and also shows the expectation that prices will continue to rise.
Experts continue to have positive assessments of the prospects for pepper prices in the medium and long term. One of the main supporting factors is the forecast of continued global supply shortages, especially in Brazil and Indonesia, two important pepper exporting countries. In addition, the possibility of some tax barriers being relaxed is helping domestic businesses to be more optimistic about the market.
Entering the first week of July 2025, pepper prices are forecast to maintain a stable trend, and may even increase slightly if exports improve. The Central Highlands and Southeast provinces are likely to maintain prices above VND130,000/kg. However, the market may also experience adjustments due to speculative factors and fluctuations in international exchange rates.
Overall, domestic pepper prices are showing many positive signs thanks to stable demand and expectations of export recovery. Although world pepper prices are still somewhat unstable, in the context of tight supply, domestic pepper prices are likely to continue to increase, bringing practical benefits to farmers and export enterprises.
However, a new warning from the American Spice Trade Association (ASTA) is causing concern among pepper traders. According to information from this organization, the global market may face a sharp price increase due to supply shortages and the new US tariff policy, expected to take effect from July 9. In particular, the reciprocal tax rate of up to 46% on black pepper from Vietnam is a major barrier to export activities.
Ms. Laura Shumow, Executive Director of ASTA, said the main reason for the decrease in global black pepper supply is due to a significant decrease in production in Vietnam in recent times.
