Rice price today June 26, 2025 in domestic market
This morning, in localities, the supply of 50404 and OM 380 varieties is limited, prices remain stable, and trading at market warehouses is slow. In An Giang , trading activities are sparse, prices have not changed significantly. In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), the amount of rice imported is small, and prices of all types of rice remain at an average level. In Sa Dec (Dong Thap), prices of all types of rice have not fluctuated, and trading is taking place regularly.
At Sa Dec market canal ( Dong Thap ), the amount of rice arriving is sparse, the market warehouse carefully selects when buying, the price of rice remains stable. At An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang), the amount of rice arriving is small, transactions at the market are moderate, the price is stable.
In the morning trading session on June 26, raw rice prices in the Mekong Delta remained unchanged. At traditional markets, retail rice prices remain stable. Specifically, the price of regular rice ranges from VND13,000 to VND14,000 per kilogram; Thai fragrant rice is priced from VND20,000 to VND22,000 per kilogram; Huong Lai rice is listed at VND22,000 per kilogram; and Nang Nhen rice remains the most expensive, at VND28,000 per kilogram.
Meanwhile, the glutinous rice segment has not changed. The price of fresh IR 4625 glutinous rice is currently being purchased at 7,300 to 7,500 VND/kg; IR 4625 glutinous rice (dried) remains at 9,500 to 9,700 VND/kg; and 3-month-old dry glutinous rice is priced from 9,600 to 9,700 VND/kg.

Domestic rice price today
Today, June 26, 2025, in many areas, dry rice trading activities are taking place slowly, prices are stable. For Summer-Autumn rice, transactions are not active, but prices remain stable. In Hau Giang, the harvested rice source is abundant, traders only ask to buy sporadically, causing prices to change little. In Can Tho , many rice fields have been harvested, the remaining rice is not much, prices have not fluctuated much. In Kien Giang, the harvested rice output has decreased, but transactions are still taking place regularly with stable prices.
In An Giang, farmers continued to offer high prices for Summer-Autumn rice, however, there were few new transactions, and fresh rice prices changed slightly. Dong Thap recorded that demand for Summer-Autumn rice from traders increased, and prices were relatively stable.
According to information from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, today's rice prices have not changed compared to the previous day. Specifically, the price of OM 380 rice (fresh) ranges from 5,300 to 5,600 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) ranges from 6,300 to 6,500 VND/kg; OM 18 rice (fresh) is purchased at 6,100 VND/kg; IR 50404 rice remains at 5,300 to 5,500 VND/kg; Nang Hoa 9 is priced from 6,650 to 6,750 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice (fresh) is traded at 5,700 to 5,900 VND/kg.

Rice price today June 26, 2025 in export market
According to information from the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), today, Vietnam's rice export prices have decreased slightly by 2 to 3 USD per ton. Specifically, the prices of 25% broken rice and 100% broken rice have decreased to 358 USD/ton and 317 USD/ton, respectively, while the price of 5% broken rice has decreased by 3 USD, to 383 USD/ton.
In Thailand, the price of 5% broken rice also decreased by $5, now at $389/ton. The price of 25% broken rice and 100% broken rice decreased by $3 and $2, respectively, to $372/ton and $354/ton.
In Pakistan, the price of 5% broken rice remained unchanged at $390 per tonne, while 25% broken rice fell $5 to $354 per tonne.
In India, prices of 5% broken and 25% broken rice remained stable, fluctuating between $365 and $379 per tonne.
According to Nationthailand newspaper, the Thai rice market is experiencing a major shock as paddy prices have plummeted by 25% to just over 5,000 baht per ton, the lowest level since 2008. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Pichai Chunhavajira convened an emergency meeting on June 26 to find a solution.
The main reason is believed to be the simultaneous reduction of purchasing prices by major exporters, combined with a sell-off by millers, causing rice prices to plummet. Farmers are currently facing difficulties as selling prices are much lower than the rising production costs.
The president of the Thai Farmers Association said the current price is unsustainable and called for urgent government intervention. The National Rice Policy and Management Committee (NRPMC) plans to provide direct financial support of 1,000 baht per rai, expanding the support to 10-25 rai per household in the 2025-2026 crop season.
Notably, the number of households registering to grow dry-season rice has increased by 151% compared to the previous year, creating a clear oversupply pressure. In the context of rising living costs and prices of fertilizers and agricultural materials, the sharp decline in rice prices is creating a major challenge for Thailand's rice industry.
