Outstanding village elder of Binh Phuoc learns from experiences in Tra Vinh, Soc Trang, Bac Lieu

BPO - Implementing the policy of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee on ethnic work in the new situation, the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Binh Phuoc province organized a delegation of 37 outstanding village elders among ethnic minorities to study and exchange experiences in Tra Vinh, Soc Trang and Bac Lieu provinces.

Delegates visited and learned from experience at the Doan Ket Clean Vegetable Cooperative - an effective cooperative model owned by ethnic minorities in Bac Lieu city, Bac Lieu province.

The 8-day trip (from June 9 to June 13) aims to demonstrate the special attention of the Provincial Party Committee and government to the village elders - prestigious people who play an important role in consolidating the great national unity bloc, preserving cultural identity and mobilizing people to well implement the Party's policies and the State's laws.

The delegation visited and paid a courtesy visit to Xien Can Pagoda, Bac Lieu City, Bac Lieu Province.

During this trip, the delegates exchanged experiences with village elders and prestigious people in the localities; visited and learned about effective production and business models of ethnic minorities; and learned about meaningful cultural and historical works in 3 neighboring provinces. Through this, the village elders were supplemented with practical knowledge, enhanced their sense of responsibility, and aroused the tradition of patriotism and the will to be self-reliant in the socio -economic development of ethnic minority areas.
