Pig price today June 19: Stopped falling

After many days of cooling down, the price of live pigs in the southern provinces today stopped falling. Currently, the price gap between regions has narrowed significantly.

In the Northern market, the price of live pigs is stable at around 68,000 VND/kg. Localities with prices of 69,000 VND/kg include Hanoi, Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Thai Binh, Hung Yen, Bac Giang , Thai Nguyen, and Tuyen Quang.

In the Central region, the price of live pigs ranges from 68,000 - 69,000 VND/kg; Ninh Thuan alone is 72,000 VND/kg; Lam Dong and Binh Thuan are both 73,000 VND/kg, the highest in the region.

In the Southern region , the price of live pigs stopped decreasing after many days of cooling down. The highest price of 73,000 VND/kg appeared simultaneously in the Eastern provinces. In the Western provinces, the price of 73,000 VND was recorded in Can Tho and Ca Mau. The lowest price was in Ben Tre with 70,000 VND/kg and Dong Thap with 71,000 VND/kg, the remaining provinces and cities had the same price of 72,000 VND/kg.

The gap in live pig prices between regions has somewhat narrowed in recent days; the average in the North is 68,600 VND/kg, the Central region is 69,400 VND/kg and the South is 72,300 VND/kg. The average live pig price nationwide is 70,000 VND/kg, while the neighboring market, China, is 51,600 VND/kg. Compared to the same period in 2024, the price of live pigs is about 3,000 VND/kg higher while since the beginning of the year, input feed prices have continuously decreased.

Similarly, the price of chicken for sale also remains high, currently the national average is 50,000 VND/kg and duck is 42,000 VND/kg.

In the Ho Chi Minh City market, the prices of some popular meat products such as pig tail 232,000 VND/kg, pork chops 115,000 VND/kg, thigh meat 145,000 VND/kg, pork belly 210,000 VND/kg, ribless pork belly 253,000 VND/kg, boneless pork leg 156,000 VND/kg, lean pork 190,000 VND/kg.../.
