Family is a place where people who are related by marriage and blood live together, members have the same economic life , love and support each other.
Although family relationships are still orderly, closely linked, they are increasingly democratic, equal and free. Values of love and marriage are still promoted; gender equality is practiced and women have an important role and position in family life. This is the awareness and goal of many families in Dong Ha.
In recent years, the family of Ms. Doan Thu Hien, in Quarter 2, Ward 5, has become a model in building a civilized and happy family. Her three daughters are all good students, have stable jobs with high incomes, know how to love, help each other and take care of their parents. “My husband and I are not in good health, our economic conditions are limited, but we always keep in mind that we must give the best to our children. Currently, the city has 22,902/23,608 households recognized as cultural families, reaching a rate of 97%. The movement to build cultural families has truly brought about effectiveness in all areas of social life; the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State have been received and seriously implemented, and patriotic emulation movements of localities have attracted the participation of many classes of people.
