On a trip to Chengdu (China) in early June, tourists were very excited and looked forward to visiting the panda park to see the "idols" they had only known from movies.
Pandas are named and have clear birth date and place information.
Dujiangyan Panda Base is known as the "panda paradise", located about 10 minutes by car from the center of Dujiangyan, Sichuan Province (China). It is raising 20 pandas that have been bred since 2019, but it is not easy to find the pandas. They appear and disappear, often hiding in the house. You have to wait a long time to see the pandas slowly walk out, then go back inside.
Tourists are excited to see the gentle pandas with their own eyes.
Pandas in movies are very clean in black and white, but in reality, pandas in the conservation park are quite dirty, their white color turns brown because of the mud.
If you ignore the disappointment because the white color is not like the rumors, it can be said that they are very lovely and gentle.
On the same trip as the group, Mr. Doan Quang Duc's family, living in Nha Trang ( Khanh Hoa ) went with their two sons, sharing their feelings: "The park is quite large and the number of pandas is not as large as advertised. They can be seen from afar, but when taking pictures, they are tiny. In the movies, the pandas are very clean and pure white, but on the outside, the white fur has turned to an earthy yellow color, which does not look very clean."
If you ignore the disappointment because the white color is not like the rumors, it can be said that the pandas are very cute and gentle, most visitors enjoy watching the pandas sitting, lying down eating bamboo with movements very similar to humans. According to the introduction, the panda's diet is mainly bamboo, eating for more than 12 hours a day, eating at least 18 kg of bamboo leaves every day to maintain their nutrition.
The panda's diet is mainly bamboo.
In the panda park, it is not difficult to see workers regularly crushing bamboo to provide for the pandas to gnaw on. "The pandas have to crush it by hand before they can eat it. If they use a machine to crush it, the pandas won't eat it," explained an employee here.
The pandas here are very friendly, even obediently climbing up trees to make room for the cleaning staff below.
Lam Uyen Nhi, 10 years old, a young member of the tour group, said: "Seeing pandas in real life is very different from what I see in movies, but I still like them very much. Pandas may be bathed regularly, but their white fur is hard to avoid getting dirty. I traveled here just because I wanted to see pandas, and now I am very satisfied."
