BHG - February 3, 2007 - an important milestone marking the birth of the Ha Giang Electronic Newspaper, right on the occasion of the anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam . From the first steps, lacking both human resources and technology, with only 4 staff members in a team of the Secretariat - Publishing Department, the young electronic newspaper has gradually affirmed its role as the official and responsive information channel of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee on cyberspace.
In the early days, the concept of electronic journalism was still unfamiliar. The technological infrastructure was poor, but the Electronic Newspaper Department team persevered in learning, accumulating experience while working to create a rich, in-depth and reliable information platform. These constant efforts contributed to improving the effectiveness of propaganda and meeting the public's increasing demand for information.

From a few hundred initial visits, by 2010, the number of readers had increased to 4,000 visits/day and reached 19,000 visits/day at present. With a friendly interface, carefully selected content, diverse categories from politics , economics, culture, society to national defense - security, education, entertainment..., Ha Giang Electronic Newspaper has become a trusted companion of readers.
On November 8, 2019, the Ministry of Information and Communications officially granted an electronic newspaper license to Ha Giang Newspaper. On this occasion, the editorial office launched a version for smartphones, promoted the application of AI technology, produced Emagazine and developed multimedia journalism.
At the end of 2019, Ha Giang Electronic Newspaper launched its first radio program with a frequency of 3 episodes/week. Constantly innovating, the unit boldly organized live television and radio broadcasts of important political events of the province on digital platforms, in which the official fanpage of the Newspaper currently has over 47,000 followers - becoming a strong interactive channel and quickly spreading current news to all classes of people.
Not stopping there, the Electronic Newspaper Department also proactively produces many creative contents such as: Check-in Ha Giang, Talk Ha Giang, short videos... posted on YouTube, TikTok, Ha Giang Newspaper fanpage. At the same time, reporters and editors also coordinate to produce hundreds of multimedia press works such as Emagazine, Infographic, Photo Story...
From the initial 4 staff, the Electronic Newspaper Department now has 11 staff, reporters and editors. The department always promotes the spirit of solidarity, cohesion, creativity and helps each other to develop together. Each staff member is aware of training, improving political qualities, professional qualifications and always learning to be able to take on many other jobs. For example, editor Minh Chau, who does editing work but is still in charge of filming programs, reading radio; reporter Vien Su, who is both a reporter and doing graphics for multimedia press works... Thanks to that, although there is a lot of work, the department still meets the requirements, from expertise, professionalism to editing news and articles to limit errors; building and producing new content suitable for social networking platforms. Spreading more content of Ha Giang Newspaper to readers in all regions of the country and international friends.
With nearly 18 years of establishment and development, along with the printed newspaper and photo newspaper for the highland people, Ha Giang Electronic Newspaper has truly become a close "companion" in the hearts of readers. It is a spiritual food, a reliable address for every cadre, party member and people. Contributing to the glorious victory of Ha Giang Newspaper agency over the past 61 years.
According to the policy and mission of the Party and State, Ha Giang province merged with Tuyen Quang province and took the name Tuyen Quang province. And Ha Giang electronic newspaper will also merge with Tuyen Quang electronic newspaper, forming Tuyen Quang online newspaper. This is a turning point carrying many emotions and many expectations. Two newspapers, two separate journeys, will now continue together on a new path of development, where human resources and technology are maximized. And the people working at Ha Giang Newspaper today will continue to maintain a sense of responsibility and creativity, accompanying readers through the new electronic newspaper - Tuyen Quang online newspaper, to continue the mission of being a solid bridge between the Party, the State and the People.
