The 5th Ho Chi Minh City Economic Forum (HEF) 2024 is scheduled to take place from September 24 to 26 with many activities. According to the latest announcement from the organizing committee, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will attend the Policy Dialogue session at the Ho Chi Minh City Economic Forum 2024 on September 25.

To date, the organizing committee has received confirmation of participation in HEF 2024 from 28 international delegations at the provincial level, including governors, ministers and experts from many countries such as Laos, Japan, Korea, Italy, Cambodia, India, Cuba, China, Russia, Germany, the US, Australia and many others.

Important guests included the mayor of Vientiane (Laos), the mayor of Torino (Italy), the deputy mayor of Chongqing (China), the deputy mayor of Leipzig (Germany) and many other important representatives.

On this occasion, the city will also inaugurate the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) located at the High-Tech Park, Thu Duc City.

The event was attended by the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) in Malaysia and 6 international organizations such as the World Economic Forum (WEF), World Bank (WB), United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO)...

In September 2024, Ho Chi Minh City will host an important international event, the 2nd Friendship Dialogue (FD 2024), which promises to bring practical results for the development of the city and Vietnam in the global context.

Up to now, 29 local and international delegations have confirmed their participation in FD 2024, including Laos, Japan, Korea, Italy, Cambodia, India, Cuba, China, Russia, Germany, Portugal, Hungary, Uruguay, the US, Australia...

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs, on the occasion of FD 2024, the city will also announce the international friendship symbol on September 24 at Bach Dang Wharf Park (District 1) with the participation of city leaders, ministries and representatives of international delegations.

After the event, delegates will experience a walking tour of the city and experience cultural activities, such as enjoying egg coffee and participating in a hot air balloon festival on the Saigon River.

The event not only introduces Vietnamese culture but also emphasizes green and smart economic development.

Previously, the organizing committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Friendship Symbol Design Contest, jointly organized by Tuoi Tre Newspaper and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs, awarded prizes to the entries and winners.

In addition, GRECO 2024 - a major exhibition on green growth products and services - will take place from September 21 to 25 on Nguyen Hue and Le Loi walking streets, creating opportunities for domestic and international businesses to connect, promote digital transformation and sustainable development.
